Founding
Aquaworx AG has its headquarters in Horn, Switzerland. The company operates with Aquaworx Deutschland GmbH a subsidiary in Munich. Peter Falk, an experienced industry and sales professional is leading the German Aquaworx since July 2008. Aquaworx markets its products worldwide from Germany.
Wilfried Riggers, today chairman of the supervisory board of aligna AG began with the development of Aquaworx products in 2005. The basis for these developments was the medical-related knowledge, mainly in the areas of plasma separation and thus also filtration. The first big success was the extremely promising trial of a wastewater processing plant in Altenrhein in Switzerland. This plant was already working according to the principle of combining UV light with ultrasound. In April 2008 the decision was made to open a subsidiary in Germany with the matured and market-ready products. Munich, where the group headquarters of aligna are located, was selected as the location for the German branch. It was obvious to use the services of the group's mother company for the development of the German Aquaworx and for global sales.
